To Receive an A:
You must have on your poster:
- An explanatory title of what the poster is about
- A date which states either when the tragedy took place or when the fundraiser will take place
- A sponsor which is either hosting the event or funding the event
- Photos which show the destruction that took place or photos that show the help that is going on
- Ways to contact or give to the fundraising event (phone numbers, places of gathering)
** To lack any of these elements is a failing grade. ALL of these elements create a fundraiser poster which is what you will be creating. Besides these elements, you will be graded on:
- Overall presentation: This includes neatness in writing, in presentation of the pictures, colors should be appropriate and should add to the overall look of the poster
- Language and English skills: spelling and word usage should be appropriate and age level. Punctuation should also be completely correct.
- Amount of information: To give the bare minimum (the bullet points listed above) will get you, at best, a C. The requirements for the poster should be detailed and informative. If I am confused while reading the poster because of lack of information, your grade will be downgraded. Use the example poster I have put on the website. Make sure to be thorough in all of the information on the poster.
- Miscellaneous grading procedures: The project must be turned in on time (the assigned date AND class period) and fully completed.
